GOOD BLOOD CIRCULATION

Good blood circulation is an integral part of a healthy life. Many people underestimate the importance of good blood circulation, making lifestyle choices that significantly impede this function, including smoking, leaving blood clots untreated and failing to exercise regularly. Some illnesses may also create circulation problems, such as diabetes and heart disease. As blood circulation is a part of one’s everyday life, it can be difficult to remember it’s importance. What are the benefits of having good blood circulation?

If you maintain a healthy lifestyle and take preventative actions to protect yourself from venous diseases, you will gain the following benefits: 1) You will maintain healthy blood and oxygen flow throughout the body, allowing your lungs, heart and muscles to function properly and efficiently. 2) You will fight off and avoid potential diseases and sicknesses. With good blood circulation, the white blood cells in your immune system will be transported around the body as needed. 3) You’ll keep your organs in its best working order. Efficient circulation helps remove waste from your body through the capillaries, the Microcirculation system.

Good blood circulation is important as the exchange of gases, nutrients and waste between blood and tissue occurs in the capillaries. Capillaries are tiny vessels that branch out from arterioles to form networks around body cells. In the lungs, capillaries absorb oxygen from inhaled air into the bloodstream and release carbon dioxide for exhalation. Elsewhere in the body, oxygen and other nutrients diffuse from blood in the capillaries to the tissue they supply. The capillaries absorb carbon dioxide and other waste products from the tissues and then flow the deoxygenated blood into the veins. Likewise, fluids and nutrients diffuse through selectively permeable capillaries into the tissues of the body, and waste products are picked up in the capillaries to be transported through veins to the kidneys and liver where they are thus processed and eliminated from the body. In brief it is of utmost importance to have good blood circulation.
